Editor extensions
Section titled “Editor extensions”These extensions will enable syntax highlighting and other features when working with .ly files in your editor of choice:
- VSLilyPond provides syntax and error highlighting, IntelliSense and AutoComplete, compilation on save, MIDI (input and playback) support for LilyPond in VSCode. Also on GitHub.
- Zed Extension offers syntax highlighting for LilyPond files in Zed. Also on GitHub.

Section titled “Community Help”- You can send questions to the lilypond-user mailing list by emailing lilypond-user@gnu.org. You can also search the mailing list archives, which date back to 2001.
